There is a unique experience when I am creating each piece. I have in mind what I want to create on canvas and have the colors ready to pour. These paints are unique in that they are a mixture of oil and acrylic providing a beautifully textured appearance to the scene. Whether it is an ocean scene, a beautiful moonlight or a sunset, the mixing of the right amount of paint and colors is something that has taken me over 6 years to create.
Depending of the size of the canvas, I can be creating for 6-8 hours straight since the mixing has to be done within the time frame before the paint begins to dry. These paintings will take approximately 48 to 60 hours to fully dry depending on the amount of paint that is poured. About 4-6 hours into the paint, I begin moving the paint on the canvas to have the colors spread and widen. In some areas, I will let the paint accumulate to provide a 3 D effect. This process can take another 3-4 hours to make sure the paint is settling in the right places. This is one of the most interesting parts of the painting process since right before your eyes the painting comes alive. You can envision the depth of the colors and the movement of the painting process.
I use music as my background and I am sure by looking at my art pieces you can hear the music I used in the background. It can be classical, jazz, latin or a symphony. Take a long look at my art pieces and immerse yourself in the colors, texture and the movement of the music I am listening to while I paint. I hope you see the uniqueness and beauty that surrounds us in each one of my paintings.
